Default ANET: Why cant we have more storage?

I cant take credit for this idea, my guild leader mentioned it the other day, but its been bothering me since.

Why doesn't ANET give us the ability to purchase extra storage tabs in our chest. I know most people have problems with storage. Some are hoarders, some just really exp. players with multiple armors and weapons for different builds, etc. I realize the objections to more storage space, hoarding to inflate prices, people just need to get rid of junk and so on and so forth. But, really, giving players the ability to PURCHASE extra storage would not add to these senarios, they already exsist and imo not really a big consern. Also i understand ANET has server limitations, but I would imagine the massive amounts of money they would make off this they could fix that problem.

GW is great because there is no monthly fees, but this is a way for ANET to make great money, and at the same time make players extremly happy. Oh dont forget about minimal work on ANETs side.

I would love to hear why or why not this would work out. It seems so simple and to everyone's advantage and its driving me crazy

also im sure this has been posted before but i couldnt find anything except making more stuff stackable, customized armor storage etc, although i think those are good ideas it would defintely be more work on ANET's side

Basically, it's a dead horse.

It's been suggested many times in the past. ANET added the extra tabs for additional campaigns and people still asked for more.

No matter how much storage is added, people are still going to ask for more.

Most people who need more storage create mule characters. You can put quite a bit of junk on a mule.

Anyway .... not trying to dis you, just stating a few facts.

The point is we shouldn't need to make new characters just to hold the junk we get from farming. Now, those who farm for obscene amounts of time and just let everything pile up without selling once in a while, that's different, but it's easy to make a pile of stuff worth keeping to sell even if you only farm a little, which if it is this easy to gain, storage should be enough to hold it, logically.

But Arenanet has made comments against extra storage space... so I'm skeptical they'll add more. I won't deny it would be very convenient.

But what would give me the most ups on storage would be another way to store armor, perhaps implemented to the Hall of Monuments somehow. A hanging rack, if you will, where you can display your armor sets and take them down as you wish. (I realize there is a monument of resiliance, but I'm trying to think outside the box just a tad.)

lots of posts, but i'm going to /sign again because I want it soooo badly. Too many armour sets, and nowhere to put them.

And I agree that the HoM would be the ideal place to put these excess armours.

How about "Because ANet Says So".

Seriously, if you want to know why we have no storage...contact ArenaNet.

Here's a link to just one thread on the issue, if you want to whine, please use an existing thread:
